Hanoi - Ha Giang - Ban Gioc - Bac Son Tour 5 Days

The trip brings you to Ha Giang – the border land in the northeast of the country; contemplate the untouched beauty of the area and get to know the culture and lifestyle of local ethnic groups. The scenery and the people here in combination make up a harmonious and vivid picture that would evoke lots of emotion in you. Drive north to the right to visit Dong Van Karst Plateau, the first Global Geopark in Vietnam with numerous beautiful limestone peaks; then go through the astonishing Ma Pi Leng pass, a winding mountain pass of about 20km length clinging to the edge of a wall of limestone mountains overlooking the poetic Nho Que river below, the panoramic view from here just simply blow your mind. Continue your trip eastward until reach Cao Bang province where locates the spectacular Ban Gioc waterfall, known as the natural border line between Vietnam and China. On the way back to Hanoi, make the last stop at Bac Son valley, an enchanting place with a beautiful river that runs crossing the rice fields surrounded by towering mountains. This gorgeous valley deserves to be known as “The Green Paradise on Earth”, very well worth visiting.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (D)
Our guide will pick-up you at your hotel in Hanoi. We will go through the countryside and midland on the way to mountain area of Ha Giang. Arrive Ha Giang, go to a Tay village, free time to see daily life of local people. Enjoy homestay with local host.

Day 2: Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van (B)
After breakfast get on car to Dong Van Geopark, on the way visit Lung Cu Flag Pole, the Northernmost point of Vietnam. Have some stops for taking photo and contemplate breath taking landscape of the area. Have lunch en route.
Afternoon visit some villages on the way. Visit Vuong Chi Sinh's house, a land lord of H'Mong hill tribe in the past.
Arrive Dong Van, check in guest house, free time to visit the small town. If it is early you can have a short trek to Don Cao,  a top mountain bunker built by French military in the wartime to control the area. Free to enjoy dinner and stay in a local host in Dong Van old town.

Day 3: Dong Van – Cao Bang (D)
After breakfast, depart for Cao Bang. On the way, stop to take photos or make short visit to local villages and see people in their daily life. Have lunch en route. Upon arrival in Cao Bang, visit Pac Rang blacksmith village and stay overnight there (or in Phia Thap, incense stick making village).

Day 4: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc – Bac Son (B, D)
Get up early to visit Khuoi Ky stone village where all the houses made of stone. Continue to visit Nguom Ngao cave and spectacular Ban Gioc waterfall with its untouched beauty then depart for Bac Son, a beautiful valley in Lang Son province and stay overnight with local family.

Day 5: Bac Son – Hanoi (B)
Make a short tour around the village to see how they work on their farms or do their daily activities. Then climb up the highest mountain – the Na Lay peak for panoramic view over the valley. From above, the valley looks like a picture of green paradise with zigzag river runs crossing the village fertilizing the rice fields, and isolated from the outside by high peak mountains. Lunch is cooked and served by your host before heading to Hanoi. End the tour.
